What are some of the benefits of being in Key Club?

Key Club is all about service and collaboration, which allows for character building, leadership skills, and bonding with Spring Valley and our community!

With weekly meetings, you create a closer bond with your fellow members through Icebreakers and Socials, all while making new friends and having fun!

We have Key Club events such as District Convention (DCON) and Fall Rally South (FRS). During DCON, you can travel to meet Key Clubbers from all across the Cali-Nev-Ha District. And for FRS, you get to go to Six Flags!

With a certain number of served hours, you become eligible for Kiwanis scholarships when entering colleges. Additionally, Key Club and community service is very attractive on college transcripts/resumes!

If you're an IB/CTE student, your attended service hours and events are applicable for CAS.

What if I can't attend a Key Club meeting?
The weekly meeting slides are available on the Home page. You can view every previous meetings' slides, and check up on announcements of any new service events or Key Club events you might have missed!

I can't make it to this service event. What's the best way to get service hours?
Not everyone can make every service event, so our board makes sure to ensure there is a wide range of service events are available throughout the year! Whether that's crocheting squares at home or serving food in Greek Food Festival, there's an event for everybody.
All service events are available via the weekly meeting slides or the 'Service Events' tab. If there are none doable for you at the moment, that's okay! New service events are published all the time, so make sure to check the weekly sides for new ones.
Do whatever you'll have the most fun with, and you'll be at 50-60 hours in no time!

How can I get more involved with Key Club?
As Key Club is an International Organization, there is many levels of leadership and involvement. On a local level, you can be elected as a Key Club officer on our board in the Spring, and help manage SVHSKC.
There is also the DLT (Division Leadership Team) and many other CNH teams for Key Club. Whenever these applications open, they will be promoted on our Instagram for anyone interested!
